This bed was pretty easy to install and pretty solid. The bed comes with an Allen key and a small wrench to hold the screws. Set up is very easy even for one person and the instructions are clear. The instructions call for assembling the head and foot ends of the bed, then the side rails and finally the cross rails. Another nice thing is that the crossbars have slots that they snap into which makes them very reliable, they don't slip or move. It is best to only use a mattress and not a box spring as this will make the bed very high and sometimes the box spring will move a little if you are not careful. Like I said, he seems pretty strong; My husband weighs about 210 pounds and he decided to hop around on the bed for a bit to check and nothing was bent or moved. Also, my back is better. At first I thought my mattress would hurt my already aching spine even more, but it turns out the frame we had before wasn't built to really support it, so that's a huge bonus for me.
