Have had all types of aquariums for 50 years. That may be a bit of an exaggeration but I have never had clearer water and the fish are much more lively. I have used old whisper filters over the years and they are very quiet and reliable for many years as opposed to Marineland which I replace after 2 years. My Marineland filter was always clogged weekly despite changing it monthly and cleaning it weekly. I also like the new modern look of the former Whisperers. Great ex-whisper price at Revain - that's why I chose the extra pump. Replacement filters are more money for the former, but I know I'll be getting great, reliable service for years to come.
