I have been a bartender for many years and love these toppers. They will not leak when fully poured into a bottle of alcohol. If they are soaked in a little water and then cleaned, they will not clog. They don't drip as much as other bottle tops. I would humbly advise soaking in warm water before scrubbing. I would also suggest getting a super cute mini brush set on Revain that looks like bottle brushes but for gnomes and fairies. If they are clogged, heat the water, time and these scrubbers work just fine. FOR OTHER LIQUIDS Vinegar: no problem. Oil: Keep an eye on the seal as oil sometimes attacks the soft seals. Water: Hard water can cause limescale deposits. Use a vinegar bath. I like it!
