Review on Winegard TV-2900: Black ๐บ 82-Channel Weatherproof Transformer for Uninterrupted Entertainment by Nick Cleary
The plugs were pulled right off the ends when I installed it. GARBAGE!
As soon as I unpacked it, I had my doubts about the quality. The case is made entirely of plastic and weighs almost nothing. It concerned that the circuit inside had no shield. I went to install it on the antenna and while tightening the wing nuts the connector flew right off the end of the cable. None of the terminals are soldered (just crimped). For the price I expected a quality component. Shame on Winegard. Coincidentally, I was at a local large department store and spotted an RCA transformer. It looked exactly like Winegard's (except for the general markings on the case. Now I'm not even sure if it's Winegard's.
