I bought this camera because I couldn't buy Logitech at a reasonable price, thanks COVID! This is a generic Chinese own brand webcam but don't think you found a needle in a haystack. The quality is ok, but not outstanding. I briefly connected the camera to my laptop running Pop OS 20.04 LTS (Pop is an Ubuntu/Debian derivative) to see what happens. It worked, when recording 1080p you could only display 5 fps, if you lower the resolution the frame rate gets higher. I'm sure you can make it better with some tweaking, although Pop usually plays very well on a variety of hardware without too much fuss. Conclusion: if you need a normal camera, it is 70% better than the webcam built into the laptop. If you're not a quality lover and want something cheap and affordable during COVID, this isn't a bad choice. If you're looking for a high-quality, top-of-the-line microphone, keep looking. Good luck finding Logitech for less than double the pre-COVID price, if at all, these COVID days.
