I love having Christmas tree lights in my living room and most of the time I just use these lights and a lamp to illuminate the space. My problem with regular Christmas tree lights is that they have an extremely short lifespan. This item is my first LED Christmas tree chain. The lights themselves are about 1/2 (or less) more powerful than incandescent Christmas tree lights. Christmas trees, however, the main problem is that while this brand should have a 'warm' light, it doesn't - the light has a sort of green cast to it. I was able to solve the brightness problem by doubling the light, but I wish the light itself was nicer. I would pay a lot of money for an LED string light that looks just like "real" Christmas tree lights.
