REVIEW UPDATE 09/02/20: After less than 3000 miles this part unfortunately failed causing the Service Engine Soon and Transmission lights to illuminate causing the Safe/Auto Mode worked and very hard shifting. After replacing it with a stock BMW MAF sensor, all issues were resolved and gear shifting was perfect again. Unfortunately, this is one of those times when an aftermarket part just can't meet OEM standards. INITIAL CHECK: After installing a K&N air intake on my 2004 BMW 325xi, the Service Engine Soon light came on. After doing some research I found that this is a common problem on E46s after an intake manifold has been installed and the MAF sensor needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced entirely. Since this part wasn't much more expensive than buying a cleaner, I decided to give it a try. The first ride the light was still on so I assumed it wasn't working, but the second time I started the engine I was relieved to see the light wasn't on. Extremely inexpensive and easy to install - highly recommend.
