I returned the first pot I received and this held a little more wax flakes but I have two problems with it, the first is that the wooden handle can be too hot and mine is literally black was when I didn't have a steamer that was perfectly centered on the burner so the underside of the wooden handle was kind of close to the flame. I would like the handle to be higher because using it in a larger pot would be difficult, which would help me avoid that first problem. The second problem is that the metal gets too hot and I have to somehow hold on to the puts to make sure I don't splatter the wax flakes when I mix it thoroughly, and so I end up touching this very hot metal. I'm keeping it to myself because I couldn't find a larger size that I'd really like - a pound of cereal is so close to the top that you have to be very careful when sitting, so it's better than what I've found so far.
