My '01 Forester has done 185,000 miles and started to stutter a lot under acceleration and just felt "tired". After reading about similar symptoms and possible (simple) remedies, I decided to try the first step - new spark plugs and new spark plug wires. After reading all the reviews I decided to "go big" (haha) and invest in these NGK (5464) BKR5EIX-11 spark plugs and the NGK (8691) FX58 premium spark plug wire harness. The best $65 investment I could have made. The problems are gone. The car drives quietly, is much more powerful and no longer stutters after decelerating or when accelerating. Now I'm starting to think I'll probably get another 100,000 from this car! Do yourself a favor and stop looking; this is the way.
