Having owned Subaru's for years, I've learned that they can be very picky about the spark plugs and spark plug wires they use. For reasons I can't fully explain, Subaru works best with NGK spark plugs and ignition wires. shoot properly. I called NGK support here in the US and spoke to a woman who asked for a four digit hexadecimal number.
