Review on πŸ”₯ NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug 5464 BKR5EIX-11 - Pack of 4 by Stephen Pendergrass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good spark plug.

The Japanese car we drove started at idle and lost power. I recognized this syndrome. It's time to change the spark plugs. The car came from NGK and I still enjoy using them. Over the years I've seen many spark plug designs and features come and go. I have avoided split, bifurcated or other spark plugs as well as old fashioned copper core spark plugs. Iridium spark plug seems to be the best spark plug. They were available with Prime shipping. I ordered them and installed them. Whenever I install new spark plugs, I have a habit of changing the spark plug leads as well. A little more money and time, of course, but you're still there. Remove the cap or scrape the wire, find corrosion on one of the connectors, and you're off to the auto parts store. Apply anti-seize compound to the threads. It is necessary. Apply a spoonful of tuning grease to the top of the spark plug and spark plug wire terminals. Tighten the spark plug to the manufacturer's specifications. Do not exceed torque. resist desire. You don't want to unscrew the top of the spark plug and remove the base. When everything was put together, the idle was smooth, the windows were smooth, acceleration was back, the car was happy again.
