I have been sitting at 7700k since January 17th in conjunction with the gtx 1080ti, this year it seemed that it was somehow lacking, even with a slight overclock to 4.9-5.0. In some projects of interest to me, the processor was loaded at 90% -100%. Forza horizon 4; death stranding (as it turned out, she loves a lot of cores and is able to evenly distribute the load up to 16 cores (with smt disabled)), Star Citizen (she manages to "parallelize" the load even with smt enabled, i. E. for all 16\32) and loading at the same time ~ 50% \ 30% with smt enabled / disabled, respectively, and this is with the gtx 1080ti card, which temporarily migrated from the old assembly I assembled the assembly from scratch, dragging only information carriers from the old one (hdd, ssd) here is a list of the components that were involved in it CPU - obviously :) 5950x Cooling system - Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 GPU - gtx 1080ti with a water cooling system, from EVGA, I won't tell you the exact model name, there are only 2 of them SSD - samsung 970 EVO Plus 1tb Ram - 16 GB 2 pcs. G. SKILL Trident Z F4-3200C14D-32GTZKW (2 sets) 64GB in total motherboard - GIGABYTE B550 AORUS MASTER Power supply - Corsair RM850x 850W (2022) Case - Thermaltake Core V71 TG CA-1B6-00F1WN-04 Black I want to say special thanks to my friend for helping me, some things (especially dropsy) alone are really not easy to assemble. I won’t describe what I managed to set up, I’ll send it in the form of several photos + tests in Forza horizon 4 and bluebench. In the future, it is planned to experiment with memory (it is considered one of the best in terms of reliability / overclocking capabilities) I tested ciberpunk 2077 yesterday - for all cores, with smt disabled, it keeps 4.6-4.7, but the processor fries like crazy, up to 76-77 degrees. We studied the issue with a friend, it turns out that the game uses avx very actively, because of this, increased heat dissipation. Keep this in mind. With my hardware, a resolution of 5120*1440 with custom settings, you can get 35-40 frames. g-sync makes the picture smoother.
I've added some pictures to my review to help bring my words to life.
