This lamp is very bright and offers a decent range of brightness/warmth combinations. It is also very light (light weight) and does not require any special mounting brackets. To tell the truth, I left him with some command stripes for about a day while deciding on a placement. Installation is very easy and the remote control works great. The light is "adjustable" with the remote control (it has about 5 different light level settings) but it is NOT designed to work with a dimmer. It's very reasonably priced, so the diffuser cap is a bit flimsy, as you'd expect, but more than adequate. The base plate is a fairly solid piece of stamped metal and all the wiring is well done.
