Perfect fit for my 1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD. For installation I unscrewed the gold ring from my old, broken active antenna. I used pliers to pull out the rest of the broken antenna. The new conversion kit fits perfectly in the place of the old broken antenna. The antenna included in the kit is screwed into the intercom kit, done. I still need to disconnect the antenna motor with the old power supply so that it doesn't try to retract for 5-10 seconds after the radio is turned off, but this is not critical. The new antenna works well whether the old antenna's motor is powered or not.
