Constantly stuck after 3 rivets

I will return next time I'm near their store (ACE Hardware). The first three rivets fit satisfactorily (but not easily). Wedged on the 4th rivet. The tool did not loosen the partially installed rivet and did not proceed with the installation. I had to take it off the MacGyver and finish the project with nuts and bolts. I used rivets from the same manufacturer that were the correct size for the installed head. There was no "ratcheting" action to make tuning easier - likely due to the tool's inability to disengage the grip.
