The observed bot misses, but turns away and away!

The monitored bot is missing. so many times I've seen him at work and he ONLY missed a piece of lint, over and over again. and then I come back 15 minutes later and he's gone! Lots of negative feedback from people who didn't seem to realize that this is a random-movement robot. Meet your expectations and understand that even with a random order, the whole house will be covered every few days and this is an amazing little helper. I actually wanted a "dumb" robot because I didn't want an internet connected device because I care about my network security and many consumer IoT devices have very poor security. I bought two very similar vacuums, one for the downstairs and one for the upstairs. We have very dark laminate flooring downstairs and it seemed to me that even if I vacuumed regularly some things would still be visible soon after cleaning. I vacuumed the whole house every week, but I still felt like I wasn't on time, so I first bought this vacuum cleaner (11S+) for the first floor laminate. I liked it so much that I soon bought an 11S Max for the attic. As the 11S Max is very similar, I will combine the details of both in this review as they are relevant here as well. For context: This is a home with two long haired adults, no children and no pets. Down on laminate and tile, with just a carpet and fairly basic furniture, the unit worked perfectly. One day on the second day he got stuck in the corner where I had put some chairs and got the nickname "Waldo". "Wall-ee the robotic garbage collector. is stuck. where is he? Where's Waldo?!" but since then he hasn't gotten stuck anywhere and always finds his way home. Every lunchtime I go downstairs from my home office and empty the bin and I am shocked at how much rubbish it contains and wonder how I was able to live in such filthy conditions! haha After deciding it was the best thing I've ever seen I bought another one for upstairs on the carpet. Everything is a little different there. There seems to be an obstacle in every room above that he doesn't like and I needed to have MUCH more protection from the robots. In the master bedroom, he snuck into the dressing room, tangled in a shirt with long fringes and got stuck. In the master bedroom he stands on the legs of the dryer and walks on it VERY noisily many times. In the guest bedroom down the hall, he was stuck under a bed that had enough room to climb under but not out again. It is hung on the table legs in every home office. In my home office, it hangs from the legs of a music stand. He started beeping one night after going too far over the edge of the stairs and being unable to get up. It's strange how the robot downstairs can easily go about its business every day while the robot upstairs has troubles in every room. I'm slowly walking around and finding ways to solve the problem room by room (like 3D printed bumpers on my desk legs), but this was a little more of a challenge. Like the robot below, it's SHOCKING how much crap this thing picks up each day, even after a thorough cleaning with our Sebo D4. Because he gets stuck so often, he got the nickname Dodo. I still love him and he keeps clean but needs a lot more babysitting. I expect this will get better over time as I've placed and added guards here and there to keep them out of areas where they shouldn't be. A note on the previously mentioned long hair: the first day I checked a pre-deep cleanse above after not doing it for about 2 weeks and it got VERY VERY tangled in the hair but I did a deep cleanse with one real vacuum cleaner performed. and since then it has lasted long enough that hair is not a problem. Everyone. Pros: very quiet, good coverage (I rarely see a spot it misses), picks up a crazy amount of stuff even when you think there's nothing to look for, cheap parts to maintain, easy setup, no apps or wi-fi -Telephone connection. home and may endanger your home network. Cons: No, if your home is robot proof some people might not have a problem, others might have a ton of problems.
