The gift I received for Christmas has more than met my expectations =) Below are some advantages: - a compact size that allows you to take the camera anywhere you go. - a large number of manual settings (in manual mode, you can capture some very good images, and there is a fair likelihood that you will have to deal with all of these isos, apertures, and shutter speeds) - large and brilliant screen - the flash has to be manually turned on, so it won't go off by accident when it's not needed - manual focus, which, if you learn how to use it correctly, offers up fantastic potential for artistic photography - A 10x optical zoom - The capacity to be used with a tripod - Operation from finger batteries (with the opportunity to bring many sets along) You have the option of shooting in raw format if you so choose; chdk is the industry standard and enables a plethora of additional capabilities - close-up photography - manually controlled white balance and exposure metering - and, of course, the cost of the camera itself Having these drawbacks: - the auto mode is useless, and it horribly raises the ISO - a noisy matrix; sometimes it is preferable to not photograph with an ISO higher than 400 in this device - the flash takes a very long time to charge (which is a compensation for the fact that it only uses two AA batteries) - Focus frequently misses in low light - without chdk does not show battery level - an uncomfortable lace is included, but you still need to look for a new one (I haven't bought it yet) - Phot immediately requires you to buy normal batteries - It is better to immediately put on a protective film on the screen so that it does not scratch - Phot immediately requires you to buy normal batteries - Phot immediately requires you to buy normal batteries - Phot immediately requires
