Review on XM by Marzio Morelli
Trading news events with XM is stressfull, but rewarding
I'm mostly trading the news with XM, and I dont see people talking about it. Using XM’s economic calendar to see the scheduled events, trying to get ahead of the cycle a bit. Usually the price swings around wildly at that time, back and forth, and if I don't get margin called, I get a good profit, no matter which way I bet.
The strategy is risky, but I dont have the patience to farm 5-10 pip trades. I would rather get a decent amount and be done for the week. It's intense, and maybe I will die younger, but its fun at the same time xD
Pros
- Cool news feed, applied to the assets I trade
- Research reports with indepth analysis
- The exeuction speed is good for me, I can often get ahead because of that
Cons
- The spreads are usually widening around that time, but on XM not as much as with other brokers, for liquid pairs at least
- Maybe having fixed spreads account could be beneficial too
