The last phone stand I had was cheap plastic. It broke into pieces when I dropped the bike. I said no plastic things! Then I came across this bassinet, which is made out of solid aluminum. I want it to be improved. The plastic liner or pad that holds the mount to your bike is made of plastic. I gave up plastic because it doesn't hold the cradle well. I replaced it with a piece of rubber that does a much better job of preventing the mount from sliding over the metal tube. So, the manufacturer, please do not use plastic and replace this part with a rubber part. Aside from the above, this stand is solid. Once you have the phone firmly attached to it, the phone stays in place. I drove a few miles and the phone stayed in place.
