I have not used this pack for speakers or anything car related, I have used it to dampen vibrations in a computer case. This is the correct size and amount to apply to problem areas on a computer's side panels. This material did the job perfectly, better than some materials made specifically for computer applications that I have used in the past. The material is really great. It's not just foam like you'd expect from other acoustic dampening solutions, but a heavy, dense, rubber-like slab. It adhered well (consider getting a roller for this, although it's not necessarily 100% depending on your application) and there was no odor or outgassing.
