I will compare it to my older ASUS WL-500gP V2, which I have been using trouble-free for more than seven years. It wasn't until the most recent two or three months (and, as is customary in these situations, at the worst possible time) that the Internet connection on my smartphone started to become spotty (it was treated by simply turning it off and on wi-fi on the same smartphone). After getting a lot of positive feedback from people who already owned a WiFi router 4c, I made the decision to buy one myself. My transfer speed is 100 megabits per second. The distribution speed has increased compared to the Asus, from 25-30 mb / s to 45-50 mb / s, and if you go to the web interface of the router settings and do a speed test there, it shows that 92 mb / s. If we compare the speedtest, then yes, it's not a question, the distribution speed has increased compared to the asus. When a torrent is being downloaded on a computer, however, all other devices will experience a decrease in download speed in addition to a complete loss of signal or an error message regarding their connection. I disabled QoS, experimented with various torrent settings, set download speed limits, and other similar things, but the problem persisted. On the previous Asus, the speed did, in fact, decrease, but it was not the case that the network simply vanished due to some stupid reason. If anyone has experienced this issue, please describe the solutions that were taken. It would appear that this is merely a feeble attempt at filling the router, as it does not pull its weight. The coverage area of my new Asus with 4 antennas is smaller than the coverage area of my old Asus with only 1 antenna. If in the past I was able to connect to wifi on the street approximately 15–20 meters away from the entrance (I live on the second floor), then with this update, the signal disappears as soon as I walk out of the front door. When I first got it, I thought, "well, that's it, with 4 antennas, but here at least 50 meters from the house it will catch wifi," but in reality, they aren't very useful. It's kind of like how budget smartphones often have four cameras but they're not very good. It is abundantly clear within the apartment that the reception is exceptional, as there were no issues to be found in this regard. Even so, I still anticipated that it would function at least as well; however, a miracle did not occur; the most recent budget version does not reach the level of average models from seven to eight years ago. And yes, the router is wonderful, gorgeous, and white in color if you do not use it to run a torrent, use it only in your own home, and do not attempt to catch a signal while walking down the street.
