Very good value for an hourglass. I like the size, shape and color. for sandblasting or spraying with wet paint to ensure reflectivity. That is a good thing; greater uniformity in size and less chance of "getting stuck" as is sometimes the case with other hourglasses. A small amount of sand sticks to the glass. Tapping it loosens it up and it falls out after about a second, so accuracy isn't affected. For a 60-minute hourglass, the seller states an accuracy of +/- 6 minutes. This is a pretty wide range; probably 2 or 3 times the actual runtime change. I measured 1 hour and 22 seconds (although the exact time may vary depending on the temperature). I got it for the aesthetics, not the exact time of the world, and I'm very happy with it. The seller said the glass is borosilicate. This is the same type of glass as Pyrex(TM) and is used in glass coffee pots. It makes a robust and well-made impression. I liked it so much I ordered a smaller 30 minute jar for my desk. Conclusion: BUY! Update 1 (a few days later): Rosérote 30-Minute Hourglass [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078H82WWD/]. I give this 4 stars; Star docking due to the fact that when running, a small (but quite noticeable) amount of sand sticks to the glass. The operating time was measured (once) and was 30 minutes 6 seconds. Remarkable. The issue of sand sticking may be related to the dye that is added to the sand (really very small glass beads). I ordered a 30 minute white sand hourglass of the same style to see if there was a problem with the uncolored sand sticking to the glass. Update 2 (more days later): 30 minute hourglass in white. Solid 5 stars. I ordered a 30 minute jar of white (uncolored) sand to see if the color affected how much sand would stick to the jar. I'm happy to report that it only sticks lightly to glass (much less than Rose Red) and comes off easily with a light tap.
