I've cut about 10 feet with this plasma cutter and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. The device is real. extremely light. For example 5 pounds. Which is surprising but nice. There are a few things to note: 1. The cutter does not come with Teflon tape or a standard air compressor connector2. The threaded holes on the regulator/filter are pretty loose and won't close unless you use teflon tape. Using the stock standard inlet fitting required about 4 turns of tape, and the included outlet fitting required about 8 turns. If you don't get a good seal, the consumables will be used up very quickly because the outlet pressure will be low.3. None of the connectors have a 90 degree bend, so you end up with an awkward loop of air hose between the regulator and the flashlight4. Accidentally inhaling even one breath of smoke while using this thing is like a punch in the lungs. This is not the fault of this machine, but I would like to know a little about plasma cutting beforehand. To try and slow the consumption of consumables, I set the pressure on mine at 65psi and turned the delay dial all the way down. I have a 20 gallon belt driven air compressor which I believe has a 2 horsepower motor. This appears to be about half of what is needed for continuous cutting.
