Review on πŸ“‘ Outdoor FM Loop Antenna: Ideal for Attic, Mounting, and RV Use by Christopher Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality Made Antenna

To test the antenna, I placed it on a wooden pole and connected it in the same room as my audio receiver using a standard cable. A big improvement over a wire antenna in the same place as the receiver, so it does what it says on the tin. This is installed in the attic for better reception. A bit pricey but well made with a nice heavy duty mounting clamp and note that it comes with a built in transformer so it matches standard cable impedance without buying an adapter. It's slightly directional, although round. Antennas are "dark magic" (if you remember the days of bunny-eared TV antennas, you know what I mean). Tune in to your favorite weakest station and rotate your antenna for better reception. The rest of the stations should come. Bonus: although I only wanted it for FM, I hooked it up to my HDTV to test it out and the reception was excellent! Much better than an indoor antenna with a repeater in the same location picking up stations from different directions and up to 25 miles away. This one works without much fuss. Also, I tried to assemble it in an "S" configuration by flipping one of the hinges as another review suggested. I didn't see/hear any difference in FM or TV quality across the bandwidth, but it was more directional.
