Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Airtex E8527M Fuel Pump Module Assembly: Superior Performance for Efficient Fuel Delivery by Russ Freeman

Great one shot replacement option.

Bought for my wife's 2003 Hyundai Elantra (manufactured 3rd January). The car turned but wouldn't start, I thought there was no gas as the starter and spark plugs were new. I was almost certain that the fuel pump (or filter, strainer, regulator) had never been changed. After replacement, the car starts and runs again. This is a fantastic replacement as you can plug it right in and replace everything at once rather than having to guess which item is off balance and deal with opening a can and replacing individually. Replacement Process and Tips: The fuel pump module is in the gas tank, but Hyundai was good enough to make it very affordable. It is located in the middle under the front passenger seat and is accessible from the interior. There are two screws on the back of the seat (one on each side), remove these screws (you may need to use a socket wrench to tilt the seat backs down slightly to access the screws) then retighten vigorously on each side above. Front of the seat to completely remove the rear seat. It is not necessary to remove the backing. You'll see a black circle in the middle of the seat, pry it off with a screwdriver, it's just stuck with black goo. Then you need to remove 8 screws, clip and hose from the module. Three rubber connectors go through the gasket, pull it out and it's ready for replacement. At this point, be careful when removing the module as it is likely full of gas. Have a bucket ready to just toss it. Replace and reconnect everything. Be careful with the gasket fitted, when you start screwing it in some holes are off center and you should line them up properly. Rotate slightly until you see all the holes line up. This module makes this an incredibly easy solution.
