We bought a caravan with a standard bed in it. We currently live in it full time and wanted a more comfortable mattress so we bought a memory foam mattress. It proved to be too heavy for the current trailer lifts. I ordered heavy lifts for a king bed (although we have an RV queen) and all we had to do was unplug the old lifts from the balls and plug in the new ones. It was SUPER easy and holds the mattress and wood like a dream! We're considering reinforcing the wood underneath, so how could that mean more pressure than it was? But so far it's holding up well! Can't tell if we would have installed it on the bed without it, but replacing ours which wasn't strong enough was very easy and efficient. Knowing this would be a permanent trailer release, the price was great. Thanks very much!
