We bought a caravan with a standard bed in it. We currently live in it full time and wanted a more comfortable mattress so we bought a memory foam mattress. The instructions are kinda crap because the measurements they give you are wrong. It says the lid bracket (top) should be 22 inches from the end of the bed frame. The bed frame or (bottom) bracket needs to be 3 inches from the end of the bed frame. If you do it this way, the bed raises slightly, but it doesn't hold up well and only opens 11 inches.
