Sturdy brackets for our 40lb Heavy Duty Microwave

We have a large 1.6 cu ft (approx. 22 x 20 x 12 inch) Panasonic microwave that weighs almost 40 pounds and these brackets work terrific. to keep it off the counter! It's been about 2 months and we use the microwave many times a day. Had no issues, holds up great, no sagging or anything. We just glued clear bumper pads to the top of the brackets. They are non-slip and keep the heavy microwave right where we put it. You need to know what the bottom of your microwave looks like - we have all sorts of obstacles that we had to dodge so we couldn't have them the same distance from everyone. side of the microwave. To make one side heavier than the other (it pulled the mount on the left side more due to the slightly extra weight on that side) we just put thicker bumpers under the heavier side to give it some extra buoyancy, like that how it looks now. To solve our own problem of wanting to use it in a corner, we made some spacers out of scrap wood so we had a solid surface parallel to the back of the microwave to attach the brackets to (photo attached). This is a great solution for keeping the microwave in the corner we're used to. , green and meaty kitchen for another day, but we are not ready for a real remodeling of the kitchen - the exchange of appliances was not allowed. But then of course our microwave died and we had to buy a new one to survive, which turned out to be a lot bigger than our old one. It really makes a limited workspace more spacious and it's now very easy to clean under and around the microwave. win/win Overall these brackets are SUPER STRONG, well made and if they can hold our huge microwave I'm sure they can hold almost any microwave. And if you're mounting it on an existing wall instead of a corner, the installation is a lot simpler and easier than what we had to do for our particular corner mount (but I just wanted to let people know it's possible too). . We are very satisfied with them and recommend them to others. I hope this helps you make a better decision!
