I bought this as it is one of the few clips that fits my Surface (5) Pro : Many of the clips will fit iPads etc but not larger tablets so measure your device carefully before purchasing. This clip holds my Surface in landscape mode as long as I take it out of the case/sleeve: it has enough depth to place the case, but I'm not sure of its strength, and the case makes it too heavy, so it tilts after in front. I need a clamp that has a cold shoe mount at the bottom *and* the top: I wanted to be able to use my existing photo tripod, which can be adjusted, but also use the top cold shoe mount to hold the spotlight. This clamp fulfills this requirement. However as of 08/06/2021 the pictures in the item description are misleading as the last picture shows a ball joint on a tripod: THIS PRODUCT *NOT* INCLUDES* THIS PART. Revain tech support checked this with me and agreed that this item MUST be included based on the pictures so they shipped a second item. He didn't turn it on either. I contacted the manufacturer and Zeadio responded by saying "We have not attempted to imply that this part is included, thanks for your feedback." I have found that my tripod is adjustable enough that I do not need this item, but don't buy this device if you want it. I'm having a hard time holding the Surface upright: it tends to tilt forward even under the weight of (just) my Surface, so I'm not sure how long the plastic parts of this clip will be strong enough to hold that device to keep upright. This clip uses a screw/bolt function (rather than tension) to open the device and then tighten it: The screw design is likely to be sturdier and last longer, but it takes a long time to unscrew the clip far enough to hold a large tablet. I use this clip *only* for my Surface so I don't have to keep opening and closing it and I bought another clip (voltage based) to use with my phone.
