I had my first Farberware coffee pot in the 80s. It took 20 years. This purchase was made to replace a Farberware coffee pot that was less than 2 years old. According to many reviews of these coffee pots, it was the thermostat. This new pot is even lighter than the warm one, so to speak, and the handle is cheaper to make, with a pronounced strip of plastic protruding from the seam of the poor quality handle mould. This is a temporary coffee pot for when their thermostat fails. I have to get another one. In the meantime, I'm enjoying a quick raise and a really hot cup of coffee. I wish the manufacturer had the guts to make a whole pot in the US. I don't want the pot assembled here; I want one made entirely here.
