Many of these solar 'fencepost' type lights are all plastic and can break easily if you bump against them or accidentally hit them. These are metal (except for the LED light housing which fits inside the metal part), so should last a long time. I also like the plastic diffuser that slides into the metal part. They are bright enough to light a small area around them, or just use as accent lighting.I drilled some pilot holes and screwed them into my gazebo on either side of the door and they look great. I took a picture when they are off in the daylight and again when they turn on at twilight. They stay on for several hours in the evening -- they don't get all-day direct sunlight, so I don't expect them to stay on all night.
