Replaced the mouse hole style power connector on my camper

I got tired of running my camper's power cord through the mouse hole and decided to make a switch. " around an existing hole that was larger than required for this product. I walked in and knew this. I was concerned at first because the pins on the inlet seemed to move a lot, but it all went away once I pulled it off properly and had inserted and tightened the wires. Installation was very easy.: White wire in white hole, green in green, black in black. Easy. Assembly is also easy - four holes - no screws included. I think I get it Decision not to include screws Mech Good excuse to visit the hardware store :) I ended up installing this socket directly over my existing "mouse hole" Careful placement and a small amount of extra butyl tape easily filled the small extra gap and (again, careful placement is key in my case) the mounting screws went into the pre-drilled holes with no problem. It's a solid mount, looks good, a except that I'll go back and get the Dr emel out of the old bolt as it's no longer needed. At least for the first test - I started and connected the generator. Hours of continuous use at 15K AC. When I was ready to go - the air intake was nice and cool - so - no noticeable heat due to resistance in the joints or the quality of the material. (Tested with an IR thermometer and a good old finger on the pins after unplugging.) So far I'm feeling pretty good with the setup. As always, only time will tell the full story and I will try to come back and update as needed.
