Ordered this pair of 2001 keyless escape remotes. I only have 1 original key for my truck and it is a bit worn. Unfortunately to make a copy of the remote control key I either need 2 original keys or pay the Ford dealer a large amount to have them cut/reprogrammed. Hoping to extend the life of my single key, I ordered the remotes so I only need the ignition key and remotes to operate the door. I can say that both remotes were programmed in about 30 seconds and both worked straight away. I can't say anything about the durability of the remote controls, they are normal plastic things. No rubber or anything nice. Considering they're about $9 a pair, I don't think I care. So far they are amazing and if I have to replace them in 6 months, big deal. I give it 4 stars just because of the basic materials used. It would have been nice to have a waterproof rubber cover instead of hard plastic, but the functionality lives up to its promise.
