I really like this paper - it's like parchment - strong and flat but fairly translucent and not as stiff as real parchment. Good price! Some tracing paper is too thin, too sensitive to moisture (even fingers), or too weak to stand up to an eraser. This material goes well with an eraser - I can completely erase pencil marks several times with almost no wear. I really love this stuff. For the reviewer who stated that it is no more transparent than regular carbon paper, you must have received a different product. It's much more transparent and it's very easy to copy line art through it - no backlight, even in low light. I attach a pencil-hatched image to plain general-purpose tracing paper, with the folded edge of the paper on one side and the edge of this tracing paper on the other, with nothing covering the center. The tracing paper will lift up a bit at the edge making it look blurry, but if you place it directly over it you can see through it sharp and clear. Additionally, on the gray cardboard back of this paper notebook, there is a tracing paper in the top left corner with an uncoated gray backing in the top center for light and color reference.
