Before this monitor, the frequency did not exceed 60 Hz. You can definitely see the difference between 60-240Hz as you move your mouse and scroll through websites and programs. The colors look great; However, this isn't ideal in dark scenes, especially when watching live performances. Sometimes there is pixelation in the shadows or dark areas. I've seen this a lot with Marvel's Runaways. Guys, dark scenes look better so take what you will. I say it could be the monitor since my TV does a better job of reproducing dark scenes for Marvel's Runaways. GAMES! Definitely great for gaming, but at 240Hz I'd say it's overkill. Only a few games in curtain and graphics card settings achieve a smooth 240 frames. If you're looking for high frame rates, you'll love the performance of this monitor. Get it at a price you're willing to pay and you'll be pleased with the colors and high refresh rate of this monitor.
