When I first looked at this long story I thought it would take me a long time to finish but it isn't. Because the story is very interesting. I thought that perhaps the author took too much liberty at the beginning of the book as to Adoniram Sr.'s thoughts and intentions regarding his son. But that didn't detract from the book at all. I think the rest of the story she stuck more to the facts. If I had to describe Adoniram I would say that he was a man of incredible resilience in the face of much disappointment, hardship, grief and persecution. A wonderful character, so different from most of us.
