Review on ❄️ Winter's Pressure Polycarbonate Accurate Connection Tester for Comprehensive Measurements & Inspections by Tyler Owens

Faulty pressure gauge that caused the test to fail

OK, I just failed the gas pressure test because this gauge is junk. Before calling the inspector, I installed it on the gas line and pressurized the system to 10 pounds, which is what the inspector wanted. The system handled 10psi overnight so the inspector was called the next morning. He walked over and looked at the gauge and it was still reading 10psi until he tapped the gauge and it immediately dropped to 8psi. The inspector failed the system. Turns out the SENSOR WAS SHOT AT 10 PSI! I called Winters Instruments and they didn't care if I failed the test or if I had to pay to call an inspector for a second test. I was hoping they would at least send a new sensor but instead they told me I had to send it back via Revain. They claim to have a 5 year warranty but I think it's only good if you go through Revain. There are other gauges on Revain that should be better than this one.

Pros
  • Check, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Something else
