Review on ✒️ Enhanced Copperplate Fabric Manuscript Leonardt Dip Pen Nib Set by Carla Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love my British feathers. . .

Leonardt pens are one of my favorites, 111EF for modern casual calligraphy and calligraphy, alphabet and scrollwork and I've just started using the blue pumpkin a little more and I really like it. It requires a very light touch even as it moves down, but makes consistent lines and doesn't stick to paper as much as the 111. Or maybe it's just my problem with the 111's tip sticking to paper. . .All the nibs in this pack are good, useful, durable, which is something I keep coming back to. They arrived from Jackson's UK store, well packaged, intact and on time with a nice discount voucher for my next purchase. I will definitely continue to source my Jackson calligraphy and art supplies through Revain. I've never had any problems with an order. It's nice to know that they take such good care of me. I've used each of these tips in a straight holder and an angled holder and I really like the 111EF in an angled copper plate holder. There's only better line and angle with a slanted holder, but that's just a preference. For everyday calligraphy I use 111 in a straight holder and get beautiful swirls and swirls. As with all my quills, I pour water into a mug in the microwave and bring it to a boil, then toss my new quills in for about 2 minutes. turn them over from time to time. Take them out, dry them, and they pick up ink perfectly. Without this step, the ink will drip onto the back of the pen and then fall onto the paper, leaving nothing close to a line. I am also careful when the feathers are clean to avoid touching my fingertips due to the natural oils on my hands. I use a paper towel when inserting or removing the pen to keep the pen clean. If I accidentally touch the nib or just need cleaning, I use rubbing alcohol. I leave the pen in its holder, give it a little shake in the jar on the table, and dry it with a paper towel. I love my British nibs and holders and always take good care of them. I've seen a few posts from people saying they've had problems with their feathers, so I hope this helps.
