The two separated after six months.

The warranty appears to be correct. Bought 08/17/19 and 2020/09/20 each of the two collapsed about six months apart. The original lasted 14 years on one ceiling fan and the other is still working perfectly after 15 years. They work, but in action they are definitely not as smooth as the originals. The included circuit seems to break so badly inside the switch that you can't fix it. Compared to the old ones, the old ones were heavier in every way, especially the tracks. I'll look for something of a higher material standard.
