One is already broken and the other works, but mainly because it has never been used. It took maybe 6 months with daily kitchen lighting.

The quality of these traction chain switches is poor. Mine stopped working after 1 week. I suggest purchasing a higher quality option for all lighting fixtures.

The hardest part is taking out the bulbs and removing the diffusers. For the housing that houses the wiring, you will need a Phillips screwdriver.
