While this "coffee maker" gets the job, its scope is limited. For those who love coffee enough to pack something to make a mug outdoors, you'll likely need more than an 8-ounce mug at a time. The GSI Coffee Rocket is well made and has a nicely designed coffee basket, but you need to make sure you have the right base. If the grind is too fine, the water will seem to compact it and make it drip very slowly. If the ground coffee is too coarse, the water will run through and you may end up with a weak coffee. In addition, arugula must be carefully removed from the cup after brewing. As long as entire block is firmly compressed, DO NOT LIFT FROM HOPPER after brewing. The basket comes out of the base of the leg and goes up with the funnel, and you end up with quite a bit of ground coffee. GSI could have added some threads to the basket and base to prevent this, but this is not currently the case.
