Vevor Stair Base - Works as pictured, strong, looks very sturdy.

for use on stairs. The product works as shown. The device is made of powder-coated steel (beautiful workmanship) and looks very solid. Now I have a ladder installed in my stairwell and I am painting the walls. So far, so good. This device solves a problem I had for a while when working on stairs. I recommend this product - it is useful. Small problem: the assembly instructions are rubbish. My instructions are "photos only" and show two sticks inserted side by side through holes in the center of the build - the holes were not drilled to accommodate multiple sticks side by side in that area. Once one bar is adjusted to adjust the height of the unit, the other holes are misaligned to allow the second bar to be centered on the unit. Solution: The instructions are simply wrong. Luckily, common sense and additional photos online make assembly easy. There are two ways to properly assemble the device. Option 1 - You can assemble with ONE pole in the middle (to adjust the height of the unit to fit your stairs). , then use the included nuts and bolts on the top and bottom of the unit to firmly attach the upper bowl and lower base. This is the method I chose. You can adjust the height as needed by removing the middle stem. Secure the pin with a key ring, chain, and cotter pin. OR Option 2 - Can be assembled with THREE poles. One at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom. I think the "stick option" is preferable if you plan to disassemble the device into three parts (for storage) after each use. Be sure to secure the pins with key rings, chains, and cotter pins. The hairpin is placed on the center rod, which is removed to adjust the height of the device. To protect the stairs, a protective pad is glued to the bottom and top shell. Some people have noticed that they add a "grip" insert at the bottom to better secure the device when standing on stairs. Manufacturer's Suggestion: Have a 12-year-old rewrite your building instructions. Your KEA inspired "photos only" instructions are incorrect and poorly detailed. Please update them.
