After both unlock buttons on 2005 Tacoma remotes failed over time, I decided not to pay the dealer $200.00 for a new one. Found these on Amazon and after receiving instructions via email I tried to program the remote 3 times to no avail. I turned to the internet and found a post that helped me. The only difference between the instructions was that step 6 had to be performed (within 40 seconds of step 6 being performed). Also, at the end of step 6, you will be prompted to repeat steps 6a and 6b in case of error. This last repeat step doesn't work for me. I just started the whole process over without pausing between steps. Remote control works great!
