Works, but I still hate it.

This item works as described. It's slightly different when reading the correct voltage from an MMPT charge controller or voltmeter. He does what he says he will do. BUT I still hate him. I hate it because it's too bright and you can't dim it. But I hate it the most because it flashes when the voltage drops below 12V. I personally don't think there's a reason why it should blink. The 12 volt battery used will eventually drop below 12v. The main reason I hate these two features is that I use them in my RV with a dedicated 100Ah battery that is charged with 300 watt solar panels . The battery drops below 12v from time to time and as soon as it does this thing starts flashing like crazy and you know what? There's nothing you can do about it. If it's at night what the heck are you going to do to ONLY charge the battery to 12 volts to get this thing to stop blinking? The battery doesn't have to stay at 12 volts all the time when it's running, and you don't have to try to get it up to the right level just to keep the thing from blinking. That thing keeps blinking! . or even just during your period because it's so damn bright and there's no way to dim it for nighttime use. Solution: Put on a black rubber cap that fits snugly over the entire clear plastic piece (even the back) so you can close the thing if necessary. I wear a wool sock now and am not happy with it.
