This sports jacket is exactly as described. The jacket is made of medium weight material with strong Velcro and latex closures at the neck and wrists. This jacket is not breathable, but it is completely waterproof. I found the quarter zip allows it to breathe just enough so I don't sweat inside. This isn't the kind of jacket you want to crumple up and toss in a stuff sack, it's too bulky. I used NRS Endurance before purchasing this jacket and was very disappointed with the waterproofing. I still use it as a dry bag fallback, but the Windrider is my favorite cold-weather jacket. No frills, tight money and does the job.
