I returned this so actual performance is unknown. It's a good, thick, very waterproof material, dense, durable, reliable cuffs at the neck and wrists and a drawstring at the waist. My son retired from his sailing team so he never used it but I'm sure if he did it would perform well.

At first I gave this jacket a good rating but have since changed my mind. Bought it as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. He used it about 5 times. The plastic coating inside the jacket peels off when wet. Spend a few dollars more and buy the NRS or Level Six brands.

Worked in rubber clothing for many years. The inside of this jacket is lined with rubber material. It doesn't breathe well and you end up feeling like you're in a sweat box and maybe just got wet without it. A few positives are that it is lightweight and functions as a mediocre windbreaker.

Well made, good price. But since when does EVERY XXL product have a 16.5 inch neck? This is a medium to large sized neck opening on a t-shirt. This is a common issue with a few blades I've tried, so I'm not really upset; smiling as I type. I sent it back and was immediately credited with the excellent service from this company. So if you have a 17 inch neck you might want to give it a try. As I said, it looks good, especially at this price point.

My daughter loves this swim jacket. It fitted perfectly and allowed us to spot it in a crowd of kids swimming on the lake thanks to its bright color. We were very happy with this product. This sports jacket is exactly as described. The jacket is made of medium weight material with strong Velcro and latex closures at the neck and wrists. This jacket is not breathable, but it is completely waterproof. I found the quarter zip allows it to breathe just enough so I don't sweat inside. I wore this jacket for the first time today. This is exactly what I needed. I'm a senior kayaker who has been doing a lot of flat water paddling lately. I needed something that would protect me from the wind and splash now that it's getting chilly, not something waterproof. The jacket worked great. It fits well. Easy to put on and take off. Received this waterproof jacket for cool weather kayaking. I'm 5'11", 190 pounds, 42' chest with fairly long arms and fall between large and extra large on the chart. As I plan to wear warm clothes under my jacket, I took a very large size and found it to fit. Large size would probably be small. Ordered both XL and L, both fit as expected. We tried them yesterday in 50 degrees Fahrenheit as an outer layer and they performed as expected. A drawstring-only bottom is probably sufficient, but would probably give 5 stars if it had some sort of Velcro closure to make it easier to hold.
