Review on Uniden D1660 DECT 6.0 📞 Cordless Handset with Caller ID Enhancement by Crystal Reed

I bought two of these phones. One died completely within a month, but the other is functioning well. My main complaint is about the caller ID. For example, all calls from other cities go to 000-555-1234. But you can't make a call like that - you have to dial 1 first, otherwise the call won't go through. If you see the list in caller id, you can't call them, you have to write down the number and then add 1 manually. You cannot add this person to your contact list because there will be no 1. If you live in a metropolitan area (we probably have five area codes here), this is very annoying. The menus and actions like adding a contact are quite difficult to master; It's very easy to go through a dozen screens to add a contact and then accidentally interrupt the whole thing. I suppose if you always have the manual nearby it would be easier. Otherwise it serves its purpose. The sound quality is lame and could be better. It was cheap. I think you get what you pay for.
