Uniden D1660 DECT 6.0 📞 Cordless Handset with Caller ID Enhancement Review

This phone looks and feels cheap - like something that should get 2 stars or maybe 3 stars. HOWEVER I'm only deducting one star because this phone has worked really well so far and the call quality has been good. Basically, despite its cheap looks, it works very well and has all the features you need, which is why I'm upgrading it to 4 stars.

The price of this phone couldn't be lower! I am currently in Okinawa, Japan and this phone is connected to my Magic Jack. It works great with no problems. Caller ID and saved contacts are very useful and easy to use. It's been ages since I've used a landline so I was a bit skeptical that the technology might be a bit outdated, but I was wrong. Excellent purchase! Highly recommended!

This phone has many minuses1 - Caller ID is not displayed 2 - Beep is very weak and you cannot give it, and when you are in the second room can You can't hear the phone ring3 - After just two weeks of using the phone, the screen got darker and the top line icons don't appear. I bought two of these phones. One died completely within a month, but the other is functioning well. My main complaint is about the caller ID. For example, all calls from other cities go to 000-555-1234. But you can't make a call like that - you have to dial 1 first, otherwise the call won't go through. I can finally get rid of this junk! I would gladly return it for a phone that works better. The on-screen clock went through a 24-hour period in about 9 hours, so it was always wrong. Also, the voice that tells you when a person is calling always reads out a crazy impossible time, like 3am last week when they called this afternoon! We used to use it without an answering machine and never used the watch. Then one day, about a year after we started using it, I noticed that the watch had improved!
