Review on Uniden D1660 DECT 6.0 πŸ“ž Cordless Handset with Caller ID Enhancement by Dana Cardenas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Should have cut my losses. . .

Uniden pioneered cordless phones for the American consumer. I remember the excitement 30 years ago when I took my new Uniden phone outside to the garden and called my wife at home. The sound wasn't much of an improvement over two dixie cups and a string, but there was no string! Then 15 years ago I bought a Uniden Loud 'n Clear phone with Dect 6 technology. The sound is still top notch and puts my iPhone and any other phone to shame. The problem occurs when handsets are swapped or added to the base station. About 7-8 years ago I had no problem following the instructions and getting my base to see the handset. But that was a long time ago in consumer technology (remember the first iPod? the first iPhone?). After several days of trying to cancel and re-register my Uniden base and cell phones to have a phone with extensions upstairs, downstairs and downstairs, I'm cutting my losses. Base stand for the Uniden main telephone, you have a good chance of connection. Otherwise, be prepared for numerous unsuccessful attempts to bring the two phones together. At least you can save time by paying attention to the "Search" button on the front of the stand, which is hidden by the lying phone. Also note the controls on the side of the phone, e.g. B. the volume with which items in the phone menu can be selected. And be prepared to immediately hold down the END and # keys simultaneously, a split second after you reconnect your main phone to the mains. phones for recycling. When I see the new 4 piece ATT set (using 6 Dect technology) for the price of 2 of my Uniden phones the choice becomes clear.
