I don't think we'll ever get this controller working.

I don't think we'll ever use this controller for work. Wii batteries seem to have non-volatile memory because when I swapped out the controller's red battery with another controller, the Wii recognized it as "red". So the controller was able to initialize something, but when trying to register with the Wii, the four blue LEDs just blinked steadily before stopping. I have no problems with the other three controllers.
